Apple released security updates on April 7th, 2023 for iPhones, iPads, Mac desktops, and MacBook’s to fix two actively exploited security flaws. The update impacts a wide range of devices, including older models. To protect their devices, users should update their software to the latest version.
CVE-2023-28205 is a vulnerability that allows hackers to control web browsers on iOS through WebKit, the engine which renders HTML content for Safari.
CVE-2023-28206 is a security vulnerability found in IOSurfaceAccelerator which allows an application to execute code with kernel privileges.
Available for: iPhone 6s (all models), iPhone 7 (all models), iPhone SE (1st generation), iPad Air 2, iPad mini (4th generation), and iPod touch (7th generation)
